Latest News & Events

10/7/2010: Have you heard Lori's chats with her grandmother (Bobbie)? Several years ago, Lori sat down with her grandmother for some fireside discussions. Recently these recording were converted to digitial media. Listen to the full collection here: Disc One, Disc Two and Disc Three.

3/2/2010: Announcing Zev & Abby's Own Home Page I know, I know. What's taken so long? Our first children and I can't even hobble together a web page for three months. What have I been doing anyway? We should have plenty of time on our hands after the birth of our twins. Please forgive me. I have no good excuse.

3/1/2010: The Purim Seudah Tradition at the Kass House Continues I love when people remain in character. You know the feeling - when you get exactly what you would expect? That's what happened on Purim. All the characters showed up for the seudah.

3/30/2009: House Renovation Update - Who Wants to See Some Pictures? We haven't been enduring house renovations for this long. I've just been lazy about getting the "final" pictures on-line. The word "final" is in quotation marks because Lori informs me that one is never done decorating a house. Anyway, lots of thanks goes to Tom & Alycia at TWF Contracting for a superb job. Now, for the pictures.

3/10/2009: Purim Seudah in Mamaroneck If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would question how much of these pictures were real versus the result of Photoshop. Parents may want to shield their children's eyes as some images may be disturbing.

12/17/2007: Home renovation or having every hair plucked out of my body one by one? Well, the dumpster arrived. Our home renovation project is well on its way to being realized. Take a look at our Home Renovation Blog and feel free to leave a comment.

3/10/2007: Why would anyone want to hear a story from this guy? Lori interviewed David for StoryCorp, an initiative to capture modern day life in America for the Library of Congress. Can't fall asleep? Click here to listen to the entire interview.

1/1/2007: Happy New Year! Our New Year began with the traditional long run in Brooklyn, followed by "Breakfast with the Goldfarbs" and finally, a dip in the Atlantic Ocean in Coney Island with the Polar Bear Club. Lori was our official photographer today, so no pictures of her, and no pictures of the Goldfarb's fabulous, newly re-designed house. But, if you want to see pictures of Renee Goldfarb and David taking a dip in Coney Island, click here.

9/27/2006: This is what happens when you run in to guy wires. This is why the suburbs are dangerous! David busted his nose on guy wires while running on the sidewalk on Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck. What's next? Will all those bunny rabbits start to attack? Don't look at these pictures if you have a weak stomach.

9/19/2006: We just just returned from Spain. Our self-guided tour of Central and Southern Spain included 9 cities in 11 days. We had a great time, though we probably saw one too many churches and explored one too many small towns that represented the Moorish influence in Spain during the 8th and 9th centuries. Share our trip with us here.

11/6/2005: David ran in the NYC Marathon Another solid performance in this year's marathon. Not a PR - not even close, actually - but still a fun-filled day. Picture highlights include Henry and David doing their Queen imitation.

9/26/2005: We have an accepted bid on a house! We agreed on the price for a 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house in Mellow Mamaroneck today. We'll be moving in a few months. In the meantime, we're working on how to spell "Mamaroneck". Check out the listing pictures.

9/5/2005: A Final Celebration of Summer Before summer departs, we always spend a week in Westhampton Beach. This year, the weather started out tumultuously, but greatly improved by the end of the week. A good time was had by all. Check out our pictures.

8/26/2005: The Berkowitz's Came to Westhampton Beach We had the honor of hosting the Berkowitz's for a few days in August. The older Berkowitz girls learned how exfoliating the beach could be. Check out the pictures.
